Easy Two Ingredient Dip for Corn Chips

I remember when I was little, my mom would make a huge bowl of a reddish, orangish looking something another with white chunks of something in it. My sister sister and mom would snack on this stuff as a dip with Fritos or whatever corn chips we got on sale. I loved me some Fritos but that dip just looked like someone threw it up rather than threw it together. It wasn't until I saw my mom put all TWO ingredients together that I decided to try it out. I was hooked, this horrid looking stuff tasted heavenly.

Corn Chips with Picante Cream Cheese Dip
I know it's FULL of calories and certainly not for the Jenny Craig or Weight Watchers crowd. I've enjoyed it for many years, it's actually one of my weight loss weaknesses, luckily it works well with low fat cream cheese in addition to the full fat version...Though, is low fat really much better than full fat cream cheese?

Ingredients:
1-8 ounce bar of cream cheese, softened
12 ounces of picante sauce or salsa.

MIX together. You don't want the cream cheese to totally cream up the picante sauce but you also don't want huge chunks of cheese in the dip.

Chill and enjoy with Fritos or your favorite corn chips. Kids will be freaked out but hooked once they taste it. It looks terrible but tastes terrific.
