Easy FAST Oyster Stew

I am a huge fan of Oyster Stew but Terry isn't. It's one of those things that's really hard to find ready made in a can or at a restaurant and usually if you find it, it's expensive for what you get and usually never that great. I've created my own version of Oyster Stew, perfect for those cold winter nights or anytime I get a craving. Half & Half makes the stew really creamy and milk slightly thinner, you can use either.
Hard to find and not as good as my recipe.

1 1/2 cup milk or Half & Half
1 Medium yellow onion
2 tbsp margarine or butter
1 tsp black or white pepper
Saute onion in margarine just until a little soft. Add oysters with liquid to onion mixture and saute until the sides begin to curl. Add pepper and slowly stir in milk. Simmer on low for 10 minutes and stir occasionally. Add salt to taste (optional)

I'd suggest you warm the milk in the microwave for a few seconds before adding to the other ingredients to avoid scorching the milk.

Approximately 2 servings though I end up eating it all in one sitting.
